What People Are Saying:

"As other reviewers have noted, Stephen is absolutely top-notch! In addition to being thorough and sharp-eyed, we appreciated his calm pragmatism. His guidance about what issues needed immediate attention and what could just be monitored over time was so helpful. This helped us make informed choices about asking the seller for specific repairs (all of which were granted). We feel like we not only had a great inspection experience but now also have a blueprint for maintaining the house. We highly recommend Bull's Eye Home Inspections thanks to Stephen's quick and friendly communication, his thorough and easy to understand reports, and his expertise."

"I searched for best home inspectors in Raleigh/Durham, and "Bull's Eye Home Inspections" came up in Yelp with most number of reviews and with 5 stars rating without any complaints. Based on this information, I called Stephen (from Bull's Eye Home Inspections) and asked him to inspect a home that my husband and I plan to buy in Raleigh. He answered the phone calls quickly, provided a quote prior to the inspection, and came to the inspection site promptly.  Stephen did an OUTSTANDING job on the inspection.  He was very thorough, went above and beyond in the inspection. The crawl space of the house is very low and wet.  It took a lot of time for him to check the entire areas without missing any corner; over there, he found some serious problems that my husband and I could never thought of.  The findings from 67 pages inspection report helped my husband and I made a different decision from our original purchasing plan."

I have been a home inspector for about five years. Before that, I spent fifteen years rehabbing and preserving older homes in Durham and the surrounding Piedmont, everything from Revolutionary War-era Federalist gems near the Virginia border, to stately Greek Revival homes in Granville and Person counties, to Craftsman and Mid-Century Modern homes in Durham and Chapel Hill. I love older homes, and I love inspecting them, especially reading the history embedded in the way each individual home has aged, and seeing as much of the structure and how it was built in the attic and crawlspace. To me it's like reading a good book that you get to crawl all over.

To me [inspecting an old home is] like reading a good book that you get to crawl all over.
